Fun tequila bar with amazing margaritas and really good (fish) street tacos. They need to bring back the ceviche & brisket tacos
The shrimp tacos were perfectly made. And the queso is the best I have ever had (even if the portion was strangely small????). The standout, this visit, was the Oaxacan Old Fasioned. The spicy version was da BOMB. I will definitely go back for another! The service was, as always, excellent and friendly. This is a beautiful, casual place to hang out. (I miss the cceviche on the menu, though.)
1 star for nice atmosphere. 2nd star for cleanliness. 3rd star for the great service. 4th star for the food we ordered. And the 5th for the fine selection of spirits. We ordered the birria, chicken and fish taco platters. All of which were very enjoyable in presentation, flavor, and texture profile. The spicy salsa was the best. We should have taken pics before we started eating.
The restaurant was clean and the woman who helped us was really pleasant and knowledgeable. We got the lunch special. The birria tacos were okay, but they didn't leave a lasting impression. Although they were generously filled, the meat was a bit greasy. On the positive side, the onions and cilantro provided a refreshing contrast to the richness of the meat. My date thoroughly enjoyed the calabacitas tacos, I felt that they could have been elevated even further with a touch more seasoning or perhaps a drizzle of salsa or crema. This critique doesn't take away from the fact that these tacos were a delicious and satisfying meal. Overall, I would highly recommend trying the calabacitas tacos at La Planchada.
Our first time here. Didn't know what to expect. The lady that took our order and kind of explained different things was outstanding. She was helpful and insight full. Than you get to the food and it truly is so tasty and so flavorful. A-++++++
